Spanjaardsgat Festival 2025

The Spanjaardsgat Festival celebrates all genres of orchestral music for five days, performed by professional orchestras and enthusiastic amateurs.

• WEDNESDAY 11 JUNE

  Royal Air Force Orchestra with Cantorias
  The Royal Air Force Orchestra opens the Spanjaardsgat Festival 2025. They will do so together with the four female singers of Cantorias.
  
  
• THURSDAY 12 JUNE

  Military Academy Orchestra with musical talents: Roman van der Werff, Tessa Bons and Eline Welle
  The Military Academy Orchestra (MAO) has been a regular participant at the Spanjaardsgat Orchestra Festival for ten years. The orchestra consists of nearly 100 musicians, both amateurs and professionals.
  
  
• FRIDAY 13 JUNE

  Primary School Performance: ‘Help! The cake is on fire’ in collaboration with the National Youth Fanfare Orchestra (NJFO)
  A musical children's performance for primary school children.

  50 years of Frits Bayens Bigband feat. Shirma Rouse
  The 50-year-old Frits Bayens Bigband pays tribute to Quincy Jones together with Shirma Rouse.
   
• SATURDAY 14 JUNE

  Nieuwe Veste and training orchestras from West Brabant
  Step-up and training orchestras from Breda and the region will perform. For many of the beginner wind players, percussionists and string players, this is their first time on a big stage. This concert is a collaboration with Nieuwe Veste and the FBVB (Federation for Breda Associations for Wind Music).

  Band afternoon with young talent from Breda and the region: Driven, Copchase and the Oorzaak

  Grand Coverband XXL: Pop, Soul, Funk & Rock in a symphonic guise
  The second edition of the Grand Coverband XXL features: Prime Classic Rock, 100% Katoen, Wicked and Vocalicious with extra percussion, 6 wind players and 4 string players in the backline.

  Enjoy dancing to live Salsa music during Salsa at the Harbour.
