Shopping hours in the city centre

In the city centre of Breda, most shops are open on: 

  • Monday: from 12:30 - 18:00
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: from 09:30/10:00 - 18:00
  • Thursday: from 09:30/10:00 - 21:00 (not all shops have late opening on Thursdays)
  • Saturday: from 09:30/10:00 - 18:00
  • Sunday: from 12:00 - 17:00 

Late-night shopping and openings hours on Sundays

On Sundays, most shops in the centre of Breda are open from 12:00 to 17:00. At the Woonboulevard from 11:00 to 17:00. On the first Sunday of October, the shops inside the singels are usually closed due to the Bredase Singelloop.

The different parts of Breda each have their own late-night shopping evening.

Opening hours during Flemish public holidays in city centre

Flanders observes statutory holidays on which shops in Flanders are closed but open in Breda. In 2024, these dates are as follows:

  • National Day - Sunday 21 July:
    most city centre shops open from 12.00-17.00 hours
