The Brooklyn duo Pure Adult, consisting of Jeremy Snyder and Bianca Abarca, released the album 'Pure Adult II' in 2023. This album is raw and powerful, featuring sharp guitars and lyrics reminiscent of bands such as IDLES, Priests, and Gilla Band.

Live performances by Pure Adult are intense experiences; the energy of the artists and the audience combine in a chaotic synergy that reflects the essence of punk shows. Growing up in Oxfordshire, they developed a unique sound characterised by quirky instrumentation and punk-like vocals. With two LPs, a compilation of EPs and singles, Cassels have moved beyond strict genre boundaries. They have built a loyal fanbase and received much acclaim along the way. Their influences vary from the post-punk of Shellac to the indie of Modest Mouse, making it difficult to pigeonhole the duo. Since their debut EP, 'Hating Is Easy', they continue to evolve, tackling subjects from social anxieties to alienated politics.
