Tiny Forest
Did you know that there are already 2 Tiny Forests planted in Breda? The first was planted in 2019 in Brabantpark. The second was established in 2021 in the Liniepark. A tiny forest is a small, man-made forest where insects buzz, you can play hide and seek, and you might even come across a hedgehog. One of the goals of a tiny forest is to connect children with nature. The municipality of Breda plans to plant even more in the coming years!

The ancient Mastbos
The Mastbos is one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands. The first seed for the forest was planted in 1515. At that time, Count Hendrik III of Nassau had the forest planted with pine seeds from Germany.
