Sound of Europe at Breda Jazz Festival

This year, Breda Jazz Festival brings the Sound of Europe to the 'cross-over' stage at Brandpunt. Here, a special musical line-up can be heard, with the Global Jazz Rhythm Ensemble from the Fontys Conservatorium performing in the afternoon and the quintet of Milan Bonger – Vertigo 4 in the evening.

Vertigo 4 – Explosive grooves and dynamic jazz
Vertigo 4 is a brand-new band with a fresh, energetic sound. The quintet performs original repertoire, inspired by the iconic grooves of legends such as Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. Expect a dynamic mix of jazz, fusion, and funk, delivered by top musicians from the Dutch pop, jazz, and fusion scene.

Global Jazz Rhythm Ensemble – A musical world journey

Jazz knows no borders. All around the world, jazz musicians blend influences from folk, South American rhythms, African grooves, and European traditions. The Global Jazz Rhythm Ensemble (G.R.E.), a five-piece student group from Tilburg Conservatorium, explores these globalized jazz fusions. With their lively compositions, they take the audience on an adventurous journey through various jazz styles.
