Den Boerenstamppot

The restaurant in Schoolstraat, the side street of Havermarkt, still has the same successful formula: Dutch cuisine at a friendly price, including a 3-course menu for a small price.

Owner and chef Fred van Weerd has been working at Den Boerenstamppot since 1974 and became the owner of the restaurant in 1984 together with his wife Marloes. The interior of the restaurant exudes typical Dutch cosiness. The restaurant has a large base of regular customers, but also attracts many tourists.

On the daily changing menu, you can put together your own meal. You can choose from dishes such as mash, fried and boiled potatoes, and chips. Then choose your favourite vegetables and meat; from a meatball or smoked sausage to pork chops or cutlets.
