Stedelijk Museum Breda
Stedelijk Museum Breda is the ideal starting point for your discovery tour of Breda. The new permanent exhibition about the Nassaus tells the story of the origins of our royal family and the significance of the Nassaus for Breda. Thanks to the so-called Familie Sporen, this exhibition is also great fun for children!

Blind Walls Gallery
Blind Walls Gallery is our street museum. Nearly 150 murals spread throughout the city tell the stories of Breda. Explore on foot or by bike. You can go on your own using routes provided by the Blind Walls Gallery or join a guided tour.
Begijnhof
The Begijnhof forms an oasis in the bustling city centre. The small houses of the Beguines are situated around the charming St. Catherine's Church with its herb garden containing up to three hundred types of herbs. Step back in time at the Begijnhof Museum and the Miniature and Dollhouse Museum.

Valkenberg Park
Valkenberg Park is located on the route from the station to the city centre of Breda. It forms a green carpet and a warm welcome for visitors to Breda. As the castle garden of Breda Castle, the park has a rich history. Now, it is a delightful meeting place where you can relax and where during festivals like Parkies and Breda Barst, the whole of Breda seems to come together.
Foodhall Breda
In the former Casino cinema you will find the Foodhall. Here you will find a variety of world cuisines under one roof. This way everyone can choose their favourite dishes. Your drinks are served from the central bar. The Foodhall is located in the building of the former Casino cinema. Traces of this are still visible in the building. Come to the FoodHall for a quick bite, a cosy drink or a cup of coffee with something sweet. You'll find everything here!

Holy Moly Trip
The Holy Moly Trip is a world full of surprises and wonder. The place where sight, touch, and experience come together, and where nothing is as it seems.
Walk through the hidden rooms and imagine yourself behind the scenes of the old Theatre. In the Holy Moly Trip, you will unravel the secrets of director Holy Moly and his wife Magdalena Moly. Embark on a journey through 17 peculiar spaces and travel back in time to the former Holy Moly Theatre era. Immerse yourself in an experience where drama, passion, and suspense come together.

Canals and moats
At the Haven, you can still taste the hustle and bustle that was present hundreds of years ago when seafaring ships would dock to transport beer or fish. Nowadays, the Harbour is mainly a recreational spot. Here you go out with your friends, sit on a terrace by the water but also take in the view of the historic Spanjaardsgat fortress towers and the former fish market.
From here, you can also enjoy the water. Take a boat tour on the canals, rent a canoe or motorboat, or try something different: rent a waterbike.
You will be surprised at how green our city is when you look up from the water!
Havenkwartier
A real hidden gem is the Havenkwartier. The creative and urban hotspot of Breda. Take a look at the skatepark Pier15, where there's plenty to do even for non-skaters, or visit the creative hub STEK. Here you'll find starting entrepreneurs focusing on creative, circular, and sustainable initiatives. Electron / MotMot Gallery is a breeding ground for artists.
During the summer season, Belcrum Beach is about the most relaxed place in Breda to enjoy a beer with your feet in the sand, while the kids play their beach games.
Willem Merkxtuin
If you don't know how to find the Merkxtuin, you might just walk past it. And that would be a shame because it's a nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The sculpture garden is named after Mayor Ir. Willem Merkx. It was a farewell gift from the citizens of Breda. From the Merkxtuin, you have a beautiful view of the backs of the patrician houses in Catharinastraat.
It is a lovely spot to listen to the carillon of the Grote Kerk on market days (Tuesdays and Fridays) at 11:00 a.m.
The Willem Merkxtuin has two entrances:
- Gate next to Eetcafé Publieke Werken (St. Annastraat 12)
- Gate between Catharinastraat 24 and 26
