Avans University of Applied Sciences offers 58 different degree programmes in the fields of Earth and Environment, Economics and Business, Exact Sciences and IT, Behaviour and Society, Health, Arts and Culture, Education and Pedagogy, Law and Governance, Language and Communication, and Technology. The university has 33,000 students spread across Breda, 's-Hertogenbosch, Roosendaal, and Tilburg and has been named the best large university of applied sciences in the Netherlands several times.  

At Breda University of Applied Sciences, around 7,700 students from the Netherlands and abroad are enrolled. Here you can pursue a higher professional education bachelor's degree in areas such as Built Environment, Data Science & AI, Facility, Games, Hotel, Leisure & Events, Logistics, Media, and Tourism, as well as scientific bachelor's programmes. Moreover, BUas offers a shortened higher professional education bachelor's programme for vwo and mbo graduates. BUas prepares its students for an international career. On the historic campus at Mgr. Hopmanstraat, students from the Hotel Facility Management programme run the restaurant Sibilicious, which features a bar and meeting facilities. 

The Netherlands Defence Academy (NLDA) trains around 700 cadets and students annually at the Royal Military Academy to become officers. The KMA provides the military and vocational training and education for officers of the Royal Army, the Royal Air Force, and the Royal Marechaussee.
The training is located at the Castle of Breda, the former residence of the Nassaus.

St. Joost School of Art & Design in Breda and 's-Hertogenbosch trains the artists and designers of the future. For over 200 years, it has been the art academy for high-quality art education, with a strong personal approach. You can take courses in Art & Research, New Design & Attitudes, Illustrated & Animated Storytelling, Photography, and Film & the Digital. St. Joost is part of Avans University of Applied Sciences. Students at St. Joost receive excellent preparation for a career in the world of art, design, and the creative industry.

Under the name Curio, a number of vmbo and mbo courses have been combined in the region. In Breda, Curio offers courses in various fields. Whether you want to pursue a career in technology, security, tourism, fashion, or care, Curio will train you.

De Rooi Pannen is a educational community with vocational training in Breda focusing on hospitality and tourism, marketing, and events. The campuses in Tilburg and Eindhoven also offer training in other fields. On the school campus at the historic site of the former Seeligkazerne, the school also runs a training hotel, two restaurants, and a tourist information point.

International School Breda is an established Dutch International School offering quality education to children and students aged 4 – 18. ISB is an intentionally small school with just over 300 students. They follow the International Baccalaureate Programmes with all year groups. They are currently going through the IB accreditation process* in our primary department, so the younger children follow the Primary Years Programme (PYP). In the secondary department, the students aged 11-18 follow the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). At the end of their schooling with ISB, the graduates receive the IB Diploma, which provides access to higher education around the world.
