Practical info King's Day 2025

  • King's day
This year, King's Day (Saturday 26 April) will again be a busy day in Breda. On this page, we share practical information to ensure it is a festive and safe day for everyone.

Come by bike or public transport!

The expectation is that it will be pleasantly busy during King's Day. Especially since several streets in the city centre are closed due to construction work, the municipality of Breda advises to come on foot, by public transport, or by bike as much as possible.

Here you park your bike during King's Night and King's Day

In addition to the regular, supervised bike racks, there will be extra pop-up bike racks with mobile supervision from 25 to 27 April.

  • Grass field Adriaan van Bergenstraat (supervision on Fri 25 and Sat 26 April)
  • Grass field in front of the covered rack at Oude Vest (supervision on Fri 25 and Sat 26 April)
  • Park Valkenberg (supervision on Fri 26 April until 19.00)
  • Prinsenkade (supervision on Fri 25 and Sat 26 April)
  • Grass field Wilhelminasingel ((mobile) supervision on Sat 26 April)

Opening hours for regular supervised racks:

  • Oranje Zuid: Fri 25 and Sat 26 April: 07.00-00.00
  • Haven/Kraanstraat: Fri 25 and Sat 26 April: 11.00-03.00
  • Nieuwstraat: Fri 25 and Sat 26 April: 07.00-03.00
  • Oude Vest: Fri 25 and Sat 26 April: 07.00-03.00
  • Het Turfschip: Fri 25 and Sat 26 April: 07.00-01.00

To prevent the city centre from becoming congested with parked bikes, the municipality is enforcing strict measures against bikes that are not parked correctly. Please keep that in mind!
