During the Extraordinary Flag Parade at the KMA, the commander of the NLDA, in the presence of the Mayor of Breda, takes roll call from the cadets. This is done according to military ceremonial protocol. Would you like to be there? Then come to the KMA between 09.00 and 09.20 with valid identification! The ceremony starts at 09.45 hrs.
Afterwards, there will be music and coffee and sweets for everyone present.
Queen Wilhelmina pavilion opened
Want to know more about the history of Breda Castle and its inhabitants? The exhibition in the Queen Wilhelmina pavilion on the Kasteelplein will be open extra from 11am-14pm.

Hobby Market & Model Building at the Kasteelplein (11:00 - 17:00)
Discover a world of creativity at the Hobby Market at the castle square. Be surprised by beautiful artworks and handcrafted crafts, and perhaps you'll even be inspired to try something new yourself. In addition to creative hobbies, there is also space for charities to share their work and impact with you.
Outside the city centre
Vrijmarkt STEK, Pier15 and Belcrum Beach (10:00 - 17:00)
There is also plenty to experience at the Havenkwartier this weekend. STEK, Pier15, and Belcrum Beach are joining forces for a vrijmarkt. In addition to the creative market, you can also enjoy music, a drink, and some food.
Heksenwiel
At shopping centre Heksenwiel, there is also a vrijmarkt every year. Sell your own items here or look for unique finds. It will also be a lively day here, with many stalls, dancing, and live music.

Princenhage
Every year on King’s Day, Stichting Evenementen Princenhage celebrates the birthday of our King with all children and parents. The Oranje Committee is ready with fun games on the Dorpswei, and in the afternoon, there are poffertjes and ice creams followed by a drink and music at the Haagsemarkt.

Ulvenhout
In Ulvenhout, many activities are organised during King’s Day. There is a mini-market, a decorated bikes parade, and the Kinder Spelen are organised. There is also an Orange Lottery and a Jeu de Boules tournament. Curious?

Prinsenbeek
In Prinsenbeek, the annual children’s market is held on King’s Day at the Market Square. In the afternoon, children can participate in activities such as face painting, smoothies on bikes, and a kids’ corner with fun games. Meanwhile, everyone can enjoy musical performances.

Bavel
On King’s Day in Bavel, the festivities start with the Oranje Committee’s opening in the cultural centre 't Klooster, followed by the free market. Then the flag is raised, there is a decorated bikes tour, and children can take part in the Orange Games. The whole day is filled with musical entertainment, and later in the evening, a free music festival is organised at the Jack van Gilsplein.
Teteringen
In Teteringen, King’s Day is all about the children! From 10:00 a.m., a cosy market takes place on Willem Alexanderplein, where kids can sell their goods. Bring your decorated bike, as the most beautiful wins a nice prize! There are also fun games and an inflatable slide for jumping around. In short: guaranteed fun!
