Tower Climb De Grote Kerk Breda

Whichever way you approach Breda, the slender tower of tDe Grote Kerk looms over everything at 97 metres. A guide from the Gilde de Baronie will take you up to a height of 60 metres. It's quite a climb, but you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking view over Breda and, on clear days, far beyond.
Along the way, you'll pass by, among other things, the impressive bells that are still manually rung regularly by the Bellringers' Guild and the carillon that chimes every quarter of an hour.
For safety reasons, the minimum age for tower climbs is 12 years old.

Tour of Kasteel van Breda

Het Kasteel van Breda, once the ancestral seat of the first Nassaus, is now military terrain. For almost two hundred years, the Royal Military Academy has been located here. For this reason, it is only very limitedly open to the public. Only the Gilde de Baronie is allowed to provide guided tours on the castle grounds. And only on Saturdays when there are no military activities.
