Protestant Laurentius Church

The Protestant Laurentius Church in Ginneken is one of the oldest churches in Breda.

The church building was put into use as a parish church in the year 1316. After the nave was blown up during the Eighty Years' War, the church was rebuilt in 1631, but due to lack of funds, it remained with just one low central nave. After various restorations over the centuries, a very thorough restoration was completed in 1939.

In October 1944, the church was hit by a direct hit. By 1947, the damage had been repaired and the church restored once more. In 1998, another extensive restoration was completed.
