The city of Wroclaw presented Breda with this monument during the celebration of 75 years of liberation. Sculptor Tomasz Tomaszewski carved a track of a Polish tank from the Second World War out of stone.
During the celebration of the 75th anniversary of liberation in October 2019, Breda received a commemorative artwork from the Polish city of Wroclaw, created by Tomasz Tomaszewski, a sculptor from that city. The artwork is named 'Pamiec', which means 'Memory'. It depicts the remaining trace of a Polish tank.
The artwork is formed by 'tracks' carved from stone. It is placed on an existing path at the corner of Claudius Prinsenlaan and Wilhelminasingel. As a pedestrian, you can simply walk over the artwork.
