Kasteel Bouvigne
Since 1973, the Brabantse Delta water board has been the proud owner of this country estate on the edge of the Mastbos on the south side of Breda. The estate dates back to the fifteenth century and consists of a fairytale castle surrounded by three unique gardens.
The Brabantse Delta water board uses the castle. Therefore, it is only open a few times a year during special open days.
Three gardens
The castle gardens are open to the public. They were laid out between around 1913 and the thirties of the last century. There are three gardens, laid out in typical English, French, and German styles. The many varieties of fuchsias and the unique collection of sculptures are notable. The gardens are open for visits on weekdays.
