Bird rehabilitation centre Zundert
VRC Zundert is the rescue centre for native birds and mammals in North Brabant. VRC Zundert takes in native birds and mammals that have gotten into trouble, often due to human actions. These are non-domesticated animals, creatures that live in the wild. The range of animals that are rescued is very diverse: from tiny young sparrows to adult eagle owls and sea eagles, and from young squirrels to adult foxes or deer. The main objective is to rehabilitate the rescued animals as quickly as possible and release them back into their natural habitat in the Netherlands.
Nature education and information are also important. At Nature Education Centre “De Luitert” and in the nature garden, various educational elements have been developed for this purpose. Visitors receive information about nature in their own environment. There are also workshops, lectures, and excursions for businesses, nature organisations, and individuals. For schools, they develop engaging learning projects. Students and teachers enjoy this active learning method and learn more about animals and nature in a playful way.
