3sec.gallery
People are now accustomed to processing images at a high pace. The 50 posters you pass by only have a short amount of time to make an indelible impression. You will see thematic group exhibitions or solo presentations by renowned international creators. The 3sec.gallery often collaborates with both local and international initiatives.
You can also visit the gallery on foot or by bike. To do this, use the entrance behind the city hall. The sec.gallery is an initiative by Graphic Matters and is free to visit 24 hours a day.
More about Graphic Matters
Graphic Matters makes the work of creative, socially engaged and critical designers visible. With interactive programming, the organisation encourages professionals and young people to take a critical look at visual culture together. Through presentations in public spaces, Graphic Matters creates space for dialogue and offers opportunities to develop new knowledge and skills.
The organisation emphasises the influence of design on society and helps designers and young people to consciously use this power. According to Graphic Matters, looking and imagining well is just as important as reading and writing. By promoting visual literacy, the organisation contributes to connection, self-reliance and equality in society.
Reading Room
Graphic Matters is located at Terheijdenstraat 1. There, the organisation also has a Reading Room with a huge book collection around themes that serve as inspiration for Graphic Matters' projects. Books on visual storytelling, typography, posters, infographics and dozens of other themes contain a lot of knowledge, but also show different ways of thinking about the profession. Everyone is welcome to make use of this library.
