Learn to ferment vegetables!


Discover the art of fermentation during our interactive workshop! We will show you two different fermentation techniques and explain exactly why fermenting is not only safe but also incredibly good for your health. After that, you will get hands-on: you will make your own sauerkraut to take home! To tantalise your taste buds, we have prepared four delicious samples for you to taste on the spot.

At the end of the workshop, you will leave not only with your own jar of homemade sauerkraut but also with recipes, handy instructions, and a new sustainable skill!

As if that’s not enough, we will provide a simple yet flavoursome plant-based lunch, including coffee and tea. Don't forget to bring a glass jar of about 1 litre, with an opening large enough to fit your hand through.

Fermentation is an ancient technique that dates back to 6000 BC and is used all over the world to preserve harvests. The process not only makes food safer but is also packed with health benefits, such as strengthening your gut with good bacteria and retaining vitamins and minerals. Additionally, fermentation helps you become less dependent on commercial food products, as you know exactly what’s in your food and use fewer packages. Perfect to combine with your own vegetable garden so you can make the most of your harvest!
