Waltzburg in MEZZ

After years of energetic performances, a strong live reputation, and a period of radio silence, Waltzburg is back with a new album: ‘Black Cat on Your Doormat’. This Nijmegen collective, formed around frontman Menno Krivokutya, brings alternative pop that tells stories about friendship, growing older, embracing imperfections, and finding love.

Their indie pop was heard earlier on the acclaimed debut album ‘Cut the Wire’ and the EP ‘Let’s All Pretend’, but now Waltzburg returns with an album full of strong, energetic songs with a dark edge. The tracks on their new record emerged during a time of great changes: a pandemic and the birth of the first child of band members Menno and Nicole Jansen.
