Tour: Women in the Grote Kerk of Breda

In collaboration with Gilde de Baronie, a guided tour has been developed that focuses on the women in the church. This tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is suitable for both those curious about their story and history enthusiasts who appreciate a personal guide.

For centuries, history has been written in a way that primarily placed men in the foreground. Among other places, churches were largely influenced by men. In the iconic Grote Kerk Breda, there are also important and impressive stories of women to discover. From paintings on walls and pillars to remarkable tombs and choir stalls - this tour sheds new light on the role of women in church history.
