Theatre Group Haagse Beemden: the four old folks who don't want to die

Four elderly people receive a letter that completely changes their lives: today is their last day. At the end of it, it's over; their time is simply up. The day begins with ordinary things, brushing teeth, reading the newspaper, combing hair, but everything suddenly feels different. Every moment takes on a new weight.

They try in various ways to escape their fate, but little by little the realisation grows that death is approaching and there is no way out. Each of them copes with it in their own way, with fear, humour, or acceptance. Together they discover that death, as frightening as it may seem, can sometimes bring something special. It is something you can talk about, something that perhaps even makes life more complete.

Despite the heavy theme, the story is filled with funny moments and lightness, accompanied by the musical backdrop of Milaunus Ambeua, which adds even more colour to it all.
