The Legendary Pink Dots were formed over 40 years ago in London by singer and songwriter Edward Ka-Spel.
He moved to Amsterdam in the mid-eighties and has since built a loyal following in Europe, the United States, and beyond. Their sound is a dreamy mix of psychedelia, spacerock, avant-garde, and neo-gothic, consistently pushing the boundaries of pop music.
With over 40 albums to their name, acts such as Tiny Vipers and The Dresden Dolls citing them as an influence, and comparisons to bands like Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, Can, and Neu!, The Legendary Pink Dots have indeed become truly Legendary.
Ka-Spel has been the creative heart of the band for more than four decades, now complemented by guitarist Erik Drost, Randall Frazier, and Raymond Steeg.
In January, the band will release a new album titled 'So Lonely in Heaven'.
