The programme consists of several components: a congress, hackathons, walk of the town, AI workshops, a film festival and an inspiration expo.Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to bring our cities to life. It promises that cars will drive themselves, professionals in the social domain will be supported in decision-making, safety risks will be better assessed, and buildings will make much more efficient use of energy. And probably much more. But when all of this comes together, it seems that the city will start responding to its users. The era of stone cities is over. The city of the future communicates, responds, and lives.Breda is one of the frontrunners in smart city development in the Netherlands and the proud recipient of the Smart City Award 2023. But it is also the city with an AI education, a strong tech sector, and a leading position in the gaming industry.Themes The liveable and sustainable city, the safe city, the social and healthy city, and the economy and culture in the city. Programme 11th September: HACKATHON (children and students) Nextgen AI Children will work in the makerspace to come up with a solution for a problem within a theme, using their 'botbuilder' chatbot. Students will participate in a Walk of the Town pub crawl and come up with innovative solutions for current challenges in the city.&nbsp; Location: Central Library Nieuwe Veste.&nbsp; 12th September: CONFERENCE 'AI in the City' (day programme) with The Future City Foundation Learning, in lectures, co-creating and getting hands-on during interactive AI workshops. Seeing and experiencing at the inspiration expo. The detox dome, walk of the town, and an evening programme with a film festival about AI in the City. Top speakers with vision and space for new voices, as well as debate. At various inspiring locations in Breda. Location: Filmhuis Breda. 12th September: AI WORKSHOPS&nbsp; Workshop 'Generative AI in Action: Discover Opportunities and Learn Prompt Engineering' with AI for Good. Location: Central Library Nieuwe Veste. AI Robot Workshop: An active workshop in the makerspace, where you will experience how to train a machine.&nbsp; Location: Central Library Nieuwe Veste. 11th and 12th September: WALK OF THE TOWN Walk along tech from then and now in the city centre of Breda; digital innovation and digital balance. A guide will tell you about the innovative, contemporary, and historical places on the route. And about the beautiful places that have nothing to do with data. Experience the impact of digitalisation in the city in this way.
