100 years ago, Jo van Gogh-Bonger sold Vincent van Gogh's famous Sunflowers to the National Gallery in London. To celebrate this, Van Gogh Brabant is organising ‘The Year of the Sunflower’. At numerous locations, fields have been sown with the colourful yellow flowers, and exhibitions are being held featuring contemporary artists who have been inspired by Vincent's Sunflowers.The Van Gogh House presents works by Marc Mulders, Reinoud van Vught, Jorn van Leeuwen, Isabella Werkhoven, Jarik Jongman, Thijs Segers, Claudy Jongstra, Loek Grootjans, Erik Andriesse, Peter Kantelberg, Salvo, Chant van Lieshout, Esmee van Zeeventer, Danielle Hoogendoorn, Wouter van Riessen, Matijs van de Kerkhof, Rainer Fetting, Alberto Scodro, André Smits, and KASBOEK.A special loan features a painting by Isaac Israëls depicting Vincent's painting.
