Turf-cutters, tower guards, fierce soldiers, and brave citizens: you can encounter them all during the StoryTrail Theatre Walk through Breda. On Sunday afternoon, 8 December, storyteller Erik de Beweerde will guide you through the eventful city history. Hold on tight! Erik will take you back centuries in time. Wandering through Breda, you will discover the riches of the old city. You will walk along the stately Catharinastraat, where all that glitters is gold. But you will also come face to face with the feared commander Houtepen. You will see how he tramples the city in 1581 with his Spanish troops. And you will devise a fantastic trick to get the Spaniards out of the city again. At every street corner, an exciting story awaits you: about rebellion and war, betrayal and love. Oh yes, luckily: love too! For in the history of Breda, you will find plenty of strife and trouble, but above all, a great deal of beauty!
