StoryTrail Theatre Walk Breda

Mighty field lords, brave citizens, devout beguines, and a very clever peat cutter: you will encounter them all during the StoryTrail Theatre Walk through Breda. On Sunday, 13 October, you can experience the city's history with storyteller Hubertus from Theatre Company Stadsavonturen. Wandering through the beautiful city centre of Breda, you will dive into the tumultuous city history alongside Hubertus. Hold on tight: you will walk all the way back to the Eighty Years' War! There, you will witness heartfelt love, but also bitter strife, cunning, and deceit.

You will come face to face with the Spanish warlord Houtepen. You will be there as he conquers Breda with his men. You will seek refuge at the Begijnhof. You will sneak out of the city to join Prince Maurice. And you will board the legendary Peat Ship with the storyteller to free Breda from the Spaniards. The StoryTrail city walk is a historical tour and a storytelling theatre performance in one. A delightful adventure for anyone who loves history and strong stories!
