SERA in MEZZ

From a young age, SERA was introduced to a love for music. Her Turkish father and Dutch mother played many different types of music at home, from big pop stars like Whitney Houston and Celine Dion to Arab and Turkish artists such as Alabina and Ahmet Kaya. As a result, she developed a wide musical taste and dreamed of an international singing career.

In 2020, she posted several covers on social media, and the rest is history. From recording pop covers in the car to performing at a surprise party for none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, that was something that happened to the singer SERA from Sliedrecht.

One thing she knew for sure: “This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.” After successful hits such as ‘Head Held High,’ ‘Take A Chance,’ and ‘Only Us,’ her long-awaited debut album ‘The Journey’ was released last year.

The album showcases her musical journey so far, a journey that has changed her whole life. In the same year, she participated in the TV show Beste Zangers and released the duet ‘Could Have Been Us’ with Douwe Bob.
