Open day at creative incubator Electron

Discover the revamped Electron in Breda on 8 December: a breeding ground full of art, culture, and live performances.

Information

Are you passing by and wondering what is happening in that elongated building? Now that a large part of the building has been demolished, Electron seems to many like a lost breeding ground. However, nothing could be further from the truth: on Sunday, December 8, Electron will reopen its doors to showcase what is still there: a building brimming with art, culture, and live programming. Come and check out all that beauty!
Creative young professionals will show what they create. Have you always wanted to take a peek into an artist's studio? Curious about what a breeding ground really is? Then this is your chance! The programme introduces you to the cross-pollination of different generations of creators and art disciplines from the residents and users of the breeding ground. The entire building is open. You can walk back and forth inside and see everything. Take a look in the studios or at the installations. There is live programming as well, including a visual arts performance by St. Joost students Hugo Roos and Marijn Wolff. Or get to know the artisanal printing techniques of Grafische werkplaats Raaf. A premiere at the breeding ground is a unique jazz performance by The Small Town Big Band, featuring guest vocalist and drag performer Cheri Lazuli. And much more!
