Nature Walk Mierlo's Bosje Ulvenhout | Gilde De Baronie
Take a walk with a guide from Gilde De Baronie through the ‘Van Mierlo’s Mastje’, also known colloquially as ‘Het Crossbosje’. This is a small forest in the Ulvenhoutse woods named after the Van Mierlo family.
Information
The Van Mierlo family used to have a tea house here (at the end of the Pennendijk). Mastje comes from the pine trees that were used for masts. The Mastbos also owes its name to this.
A brook runs through this forest. The brook system is under the management of the Brabantse Delta water board. Together with the residents, plans are made, resulting in small nature reserves. Come along, explore the flora; you are never too old to learn something new, especially by experiencing it in nature.
