Detour to Santiago, the pilgrim and his music... In February, MuziekSalon Spronk will take you on a famous pilgrimage: that of the route to Santiago de Compostella. Traditionally, for centuries, the pilgrimage to the tomb of the apostle James in Spain. The religious core of the pilgrimage has largely faded away now. Yet the small churches, monasteries and religious art, which can be abundantly found here and there in the landscape, still inspire. What moved the pilgrim then, what moves him now? What is the cleansing mystery? And especially: which music accompanied him throughout all those centuries? The narrator and guitarist is Jaap van Omme.
