In the Literature &amp; Music series, a collaboration between Bibliotheek Breda and MuziekSalon Spronk, one book is always at the centre of attention. 
A book that has already proven its deep value, and where the carefully selected, live music seeks to enhance the experience and impact of the various scenes from that book.
On Monday, 9 December, the book 'Crime and Punishment' by writer Fyodor Dostoevsky will be presented by the young philosopher Floris van der Pol. Floris is someone who is capable of thinking outside the box with surprising ideas.
Dostoevsky knows like no other how to lay bare the psychological make-up of his characters millimetre by millimetre, in a way that relentlessly sweeps the reader along from beginning to end.
It is still a top book, and in the brand new translation by Hans Boland, the book reads as one of the most thrilling detective stories ever. You don’t need to have read the book to be able to enjoy it to the fullest.
