Turmoil is the exact opposite:
noise, tumult, and uproar.
This contrast can also be heard in the music of Mount Turmoil.
It ranges from intimate Americana to thick, fat grunge rock.
Singer Arjen Koekoek grew up with an American mother. Guitarist Tom Kenter spent a significant amount of time in London and San Francisco. Bassist Lazaros Valavanis was raised in Greece, and drummer Eric Louisville has Surinamese roots.
So expect a wide spectrum of influences, from catchy Britpop to murky southern rock and everything in between.
Members of Mount Turmoil have previously performed at Zwarte Cross and have been featured on Radio 3 with Giel Beelen.
