Broke combines recycled New Wave and Post-Punk influences from the 80s and the present into a solid mass. The music sounds dark, full of passion, sometimes jangly, but also remarkably fresh, accessible, and danceable. And what is it about? Broken relationships, unstoppable dancing queens, failing world leaders, indescribable moments of happiness, drunken sailors' songs. Nothing, absolutely nothing human is strange to Broke.
