Lecture Vincent in La Borinage at Het Gele Huis

Vincent van Gogh makes a major turning point in his life in 1880. Why does he do this? You will find out in the lecture by Pilip Depuydt.

Information

In December 1878, Van Gogh moved at the age of 25 to the Walloon coal basin of Borinage. He was looking for a job as a preacher, but mainly for himself.

After barely two years, he left the region again to attend drawing lessons at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.

What happened during this little-known period in the artist's life, and what caused such a major change? These questions will be addressed in The Yellow Hour with Filiip Depuydt - Van Gogh enthusiast.
