On Sunday 17 November, the nature guides of IVN Mark &amp; Donge will be walking through the urban nature of the Haagse Beemden in search of street daisies.

The trees are shedding their leaves to conserve energy for the winter. At the same time, they are developing new buds, so that the leaves can unfold in all their glory as the days lengthen. The hazel tree even begins to bloom before the heart of winter arrives.

Many plants also dare to show themselves during the cold season. Their flowers defy the frost. During the end-of-year plant hunt of 2023, 540 species of flowering plants were counted in the period around Christmas. Most species were found in village and town. This is of course not surprising, as the stones of the city retain heat for longer. 

Join us in searching among the stones of the residential area Haagse Beemden for shepherd's purse, deadnettles, yarrow, and crosswort, and observe that even the grey time of year still has a lot of cheerful things to offer.

This walk is also suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. 
 The walk starts at 13:30 and lasts one and a half to two hours.
