Indian Askin in MEZZ

Nelson 'Chino' Ayala is the driving force behind the now-punk band Indian Askin. In 2016, the band broke through with their debut album 'Sea of Ethanol', which entered the album charts at number 8 and won an Edison award for Best Newcomer. The second album by Indian Askin, ‘Another Round’, showed that the band had even more to offer. With ‘Lonely Citizen’, the band builds further on their eclectic and quirky sound. Nelson draws inspiration from his Paraguayan roots and his love for 90s punk rock and grunge. In February 2025, the band will embark on a tour with new music and will be joined live by Marc van Dongen on drums, bassist Jasja Offermans, Berend Konink on guitar/keys, and vocalist Funda Sevis.
