I Am Oak in MEZZ

Since 2008, the indie folk band I Am Oak, founded by Thijs Kuijken, has been conquering the music scene. With their folky guitars and dreamy melodies, they have built a loyal fanbase and received much acclaim from critics around the world.

The band continues to grow and attract new listeners with their timeless music. Their style has broadened and sometimes become tougher over the years, but the core remains subdued folk with guitar as the focal point.

After three years, I Am Oak is back with new music and a new album. ‘The Way I See It’ is the first single from the album ‘Time Drifts’, which will be released in 2025. A reflection on aging, witnessing the passage of time, and looking back on life are the themes that play a central role in the new intimate, poetic songs.
