The theme of Bach on Sunday 2024 is the city of Leipzig, the city where Bach lived and worked from 1723 until his death in 1750. But Leipzig is also the city of composers Felix Mendelssohn, Robert and Clara Schumann, Max Reger, Gustav Mahler, Richard Wagner and Sigfrid Karg-Elert. In Bach on Sunday, it all comes to pass. Light-footed Bach lecture The concerts in Bach on Sunday are introduced with a mini Bach lecture by Wim Thijs, who effortlessly takes everyone into the wonderful world of Bach.&nbsp; Programme:<ul><li>July 7: Peter Ledaine (B)</li><li>14 July: Matteo Imbruno (I/NL)</li><li>21 July: Ben van Oosten (NL)Ben van Oosten is considered one of the greatest organists of our time. Because of his great merits for (French) organ music, he received several high awards in France and the Netherlands. The programme in the Grote Kerk includes music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Karg-Elert.</li><li>28 July: Tina Christiansen (DK)</li><li>4 August: Evan Bogerd (NL)</li><li>11 August: Aart Bergwerff (NL), organist of the Grote Kerk Breda. This final concert will be a special with special programming.&nbsp;</li></ul>
