Gilde de Baronie: Tower Climbs Grote Kerk

The over 97 metre high tower of the Grote of Onze Lieve Vrouwe Kerk Breda was built between 1468 and 1509 in the style of Brabantine Gothic. At a height of 60 metres, you have a stunning view over the historic city centre and the wider surroundings of Breda.

You ascend the tower via a spiral staircase. The city guide provides explanations about the sights inside the medieval tower, such as the 3500 kg Nassau bell and the former tower guard's room. Of course, the guide can also share more about interesting buildings in the city at your feet.

For safety reasons, there is a minimum age of 12 years for climbing the tower.
