Gilde de Baronie: Castle Tours in Breda
Information
Gilde de Baronie takes you back in history of the city and the role of the Nassaus. The Baroniemonument at the entrance of Valkenberg is the starting point of the walk and also symbolizes the arrival of the Nassaus in Breda. Through the beautiful Valkenberg, the former castle garden, you walk over Kasteelplein and Cingelstraat to Kraanpoort.
Next, there is a guided tour on the grounds of the Kasteel van Breda. Highlights include the Huis van Brecht, with the beautiful model of the original Renaissance palace, the Puffiuszaal, the Duiven- and Granaattoren, the Courtyard, the Nassauzaal, the Parade, and the underground passage of the Egmondgalerij.
