Free Birds Fly - Tirui in Chassé Theater

Free Birds Fly is a performance that reflects humanity and society in all its colours, whims and shortcomings.

Artistic leader and choreographer Jordy Dik is intrigued by the concept of 'freedom', which increasingly recurs in his choreographic work. In this third production by Compagnie Tiuri, eleven performers embark on an inner journey. They want to dance to be free. about Tiuri Compagnie Tiuri, based in Breda, is a professional inclusive company characterised by the poetic, raw and human dance theatre that they produce.

The core of Compagnie Tiuri consists of individuals with a disability who have been trained for many years at Theatre Workshop Tiuri. The company provides them the opportunity to showcase their unique and previously unrecognised talents to the world. They do this alongside guest dancers and musicians who bring their own humanity and stories. Through this authentic encounter, masks are shed and humanity is revealed in all its colours and diversity.

In this way, Compagnie Tiuri holds up a mirror to the audience and invites them to take action. A movement that is greater than ourselves.
