Exhibition Welcome to Breda - BredaPhoto Extended.

Breda has been a place where people have felt welcome for centuries. Over the past 60 years, many newcomers have been warmly received. After the Second World War, Polish veterans came to the city, followed by the establishment of a Moluccan neighbourhood. In the 1960s, thanks to Breda's thriving business sector, many Spaniards, Moroccans, Italians, and Turks moved to the city. Since then, wars and natural disasters have brought people from all over the world to Breda. As a result, Breda has become increasingly diverse, with new food, music, and festival traditions.

The exhibition ‘Welcome to Breda’ is curated from the collections of the Breda City Archive and the Stedelijk Museum Breda. This exhibition was realised with the help of Stichting Arjati, Buddy to Buddy, and BUAS.
