Dance performance 'Mondo Perfetto'

In Mondo Perfetto, Corpo Máquina’s artistic leader Guilherme Miotto explores how our thinking influences movement and how movement shapes the mind. 

In the concert performance Mondo Perfetto, Corpo Máquina’s artistic leader Guilherme Miotto presents a mix of waves and impulses. In the simplicity of movement, he tries to find a way to share the layered reality in which the performers find themselves with the audience. Monumental gestures and sounds deconstructed into steps and rhythms. A church-like theatre, a place of rituals. Where we come together to reflect, searching for a path. 

Guilherme himself performs as a dancer, alongside dancer Julia Nielsen. Percussionist Pedro Paixão plays Bach live on the marimba. In an open and shared space, Mondo Perfetto unravels intentions hidden deep within the body. The strategy here is to approach all elements in the performance – presence, thoughts, imagination, dance, music – as vibrations. Tremors are used to question and dissolve the boundaries that separate the performers from each other and from the environment. This creates a longing for unity within a reality that we often experience as fragmented and scattered in daily life.
