Meerle is a village in the Belgian province of Antwerp and a part of the municipality of Hoogstraten. The name Meerle can be translated as a wooded marshy area. You will search for a mysterious little castle and do some sightseeing in Meerle. 

You'll also visit the Saint Bernard chapel in Ulicoten, which is located in the Bollekens on the territory of Meerle. The chapel is situated on Bosstraat just over the border with Belgium but is owned by the church of Ulicoten. There is a walking path with a Stations of the Cross in the forest near the chapel.
