Cycle tour 'nieuwe wijken - oude dorpen' | Gilde De Baronie

After the snerttochten, Gilde De Baronie opens the 2025 season with a new route. Before they head to the old villages, they will exceptionally cross a number of neighbourhoods in Breda that have been significantly renovated in recent years or are still slated for improvement.

There has been quite a lot of change. The livability in those parts of Breda has greatly improved. For instance, you will ride past the Teteringsedijk where the industry has almost completely vanished. Only the Hero remains, but now in a fresh new look. The old villages you will visit are Bavel and Molenschot. A visit to the St Annakapel should certainly not be missed. 

On your way back, you will see the neighbourhoods you cycled through earlier again, but now from the other side of the railway. When you return to Breda, you will also pass through a few new neighbourhoods along or close to the railway in the Liniekwartier. Surprisingly nice little communities have emerged on sites where there was once industry.
