Why is it difficult for so many people to sleep through the night? What makes you wake up? It used to be a normal occurrence. The whole family would get out of bed to use the toilet, have a drink, or even pay a visit to the neighbours. Those who stayed in bed would chat, make love or pray to God. &nbsp;<p>Until the nineteenth century, Western Europeans would wake up at least once a night, often for a few hours. Sleep was enjoyed in two segments: the first sleep and the second sleep. </p><p>Regarding the theme of sleep, the vocal ensemble Studium Vocale, led by Ad van Unen, has put together an engaging programme. The repertoire includes songs by composers like Diepenbrock, Saint Saëns, and Lassus. Total duration: 45 minutes</p>
