On 17th November 2024 at 4 PM, the men of the Sacraments Choir Breda will sing a Choral Evensong at concert venue Zandberg58. A Choral Evensong is a tradition from the Anglican church and is still frequently performed by English university choirs. The Choir Academy Breda, of which the Sacraments Choir is a part, sings several times a year a Choral Evensong on Sunday afternoons. Singing is central to this gathering, and Bible stories are read aloud as well. The officiant is Gerlof Bosma. <p><br></p>

The Sacraments Choir Breda is part of the Choir Academy Breda (KAB), which originated in 2020 from the nearly 100-year-old boys' choir tradition of the Sacraments Choir Breda. At the Choir Academy Breda, the joy of singing together is paramount. This goes hand in hand with a good singing education for children from the age of 4 and adults. In the Choral Evensong on 17th November, only the men of the Sacraments Choir will sing under the direction of Ruben de Grauw. Jelena Bazova will accompany on the organ. The programme consists of works by Howells, Tallis, Byrd, Walsh, and Boëlmann.
