Basic Workshop (13:00 - 14:00):Learn the basics of Gothic calligraphy from Sylvia van Dijk, better known as ‘De Schoonschrijfster’. Discover the art of calligraphy, an ancient craft, and write with pen and ink in the beautiful Gothic script as it was used between the 12th and 15th centuries. This workshop is organised by the City Archive &amp; Archaeology Breda and takes place at the City Archive, where old manuscripts await you for inspiration. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to calligraphy your own diploma! Extended Workshop (10:30 - 12:30 and 14:30 - 16:30):Learn to calligraph the Gothic alphabet from Sylvia van Dijk, better known as ‘De Schoonschrijfster’. Discover the art of calligraphy, an ancient craft, and write with pen and ink in the beautiful Gothic script as it was used between the 12th and 15th centuries. During the extended workshop by Sylvia van Dijk (‘De Schoonschrijfster’), you will learn to calligraph all the letters of the alphabet. This workshop is organised by the City Archive &amp; Archaeology Breda and takes place at the City Archive, where old manuscripts await you for inspiration. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to calligraph the entire alphabet!
