Bat safari from Boswachterij Dorst

Oops, what's flying there? It's usually almost dark when you see it for the first time. Bats! For many people, they have something magical. All around the world, there are more than a thousand species, some very large, some very small.  

In the Netherlands, there are far fewer species. On this excursion, you will try to spot some species and hear their ultrasonic sounds. With a bit of luck, after this evening you will be able to recognise several species by their behaviour and sounds.  

What will you do?
You will go with bat expert Jos Marcelissen into the Dorst Forest Ranger Station to search for bats. Along the way, he will tell you all kinds of facts. Normally, the night-time forest is prohibited territory, but for this excursion, permission has been granted by the rangers. Will you join us?
