'Attraverso' Pinhole photography exhibition by Diana Pankova is an exhibition where various photo series are presented, all connected by the idea of the universal interconnectedness of the world.
The word "Attraverso" is derived from the Italian verb "attraversare", meaning "to cross" and can, besides its commonplace use such as "to cross the road," indicate more existential processes, such as "to transcend the boundaries of one's subjectivity" or "to cross boundaries" – which can lead to the possibility of seeing (and feeling) the internal connections underlying all these processes, connecting you with each other and allowing the world to function as one living organism.
It is easy to overlook, forget, and ignore the invisible threads that hold the world together and enable us, humans, to be an organic part of it. And this is where slow, manual photographic processes, and their visible results, can help—serving as a reminder, and hopefully an inspiration—to look inside, transcend internal boundaries that often separate you from important things, and feel the joy of connectivity—with many things, in many ways.
