The Original Victoria Band is the oldest jazz band in the world, based in Breda. A century of non-stop 'hot' jazz music, played by a band that has had about 250 members in varying compositions. The majority of those members are or were from Breda. One and all good musicians who embraced the Charleston in their hearts.&nbsp;A hundred years of rich history. Rehearsing in a soundproof basement during World War II, founding the Roaring Twenties Club together with others, and touring in the Middle East. These are just a few highlights from the rich history.Ad Houtepen Played cornet and bass saxophone in the Original Victoria JazzBand (OVJB), led the orchestra, and made most of the arrangements that are still played today.&nbsp;Jazz O matic Four Jazz O matic Four has been a fixture in the European jazz circuit for over 30 years. The orchestra has performed at many (inter)national festivals in their unique composition: cornet, bass saxophone, piano, and banjo.

The Original Victoria Band is celebrating its 100th anniversary on Sunday, 13 October at De Avenue with guest soloist Ad Houtepen and a guest performance by the Jazz-O-matic Four.
